This coming Saturday, that’s right, this weekend, We’ll be paddling from Keehi Lagoon Park to Ewa beach Park, a distance of 8.1 miles, and if the winds are trades it will be all down wind after we leave Keehi Lagoon, so if you have your kayak sail, you’ll want to have it on this one! If you don’t have one, you’re welcome to rent one from our store, although we have a limited number of rental sails available. They work really well if you have a tandem kayak, or a single with a rudder.
So, here’s the plan…….
Meet Sat., 2-20, at 7:30 AM at Keehi Lagoon park near the Canoe Halau. We’ll off-load boats and the car shuttle will be leaving at 8:00. It’s a rather lengthy shuttle around Pear Harbor, so I’m guessing we’ll have the shuttle complete and plan on paddling away at between 9 and 9:15 AM. This should put our arrival time at Ewa Beach Park at about 11:30 AM .
